1^st Reconciliation Information Sheet

Registration will take place in September 2012 for children in grades 4, 5 and 6. Children who are in grade 7 and above, please contact the parish office to arrange pickup of a Reconciliation Home Study Package. Prerequisite: Baptism and First Communion. Please watch your child's school newsletter (St. Wilfrid, St. Thomas More, Father Scollen, Blessed John XXIII, Blessed John Paul II, Msgr. Hetherington, Our Lady of Fatima and Light of Christ schools only) at the beginning of September and also the church bulletins as well for the exact date of when the registration forms and information sheets will be available for you in the foyer. A Copy of your child's Baptismal Certificate must accompany the registration form and $25.00 cheque fee for the registration to be accepted. The sacrament will be celebrated in early November.

CONFIRMATION

Mandatory Orientation/Registration meeting for both parent and child in May 2012. This is for children in grade 7 and up. If your child is in grade 6 in May 2012 you can register them as they will be in grade 7 when they attend their classes and make the Sacrament. Sacrament will be celebrated in November 2012. Prerequisite: Baptism, First Communion and Reconciliation. Please watch your child's school newsletter (St. Wilfrid, St. Thomas More, Father Scollen, Blessed John XXIII, Blessed John Paul II, Msgr. Hetherington, Our Lady of Fatima and Light of Christ schools only) in April and also the church bulletins as well for the exact date of one of two mandatory/orientation registration session for BOTH parent and child to attend.

BAPTISMS: Call the parish office to book an appointment to meet with one of our priests, after the meeting the couple will be registered into our next course. After you have finished your requirement, you need to call the office to book the Baptism. Baptism date can only be booked through the parish office. Office times are Mon 9-12noon and Tues-Fri 9-4pm and the office number is 403-285-3773.

MARRIAGES: Either the bride or groom has to be a baptized Catholic living in the church boundaries or registered with the parish. You can call the parish office and speak to one of the secretaries to book your wedding day. The couple has to complete a marriage preparation course, and attend a number of scheduled meetings with the priest. You need to have at least 6 months notice, if there have been no previous marriages. For more information or to book your wedding day, please call the parish office at 403-285-3773.
